Profile deleted email?

I got an email saying my koodo profile was deleted (from koodo), I did not do this. I also cannot access self serve. My phone still works, and I can call *611 and all my info is still there.... what is going on?

Could you access self serve before hand? Did you contact Koodo about not being able to access self serve?
Did you get one of those promo plans from the guys on kijiji or wherever thinking it was a good deal?

Yes I have been using self serve for years, and I tried calling but it says to call back during regular business hours. I only go the email at 5:30pm local time.

I haven't made any changes to my account in over 12 months.

You're certain the email wasn't a phishing attempt? I've seen some very realistic ones lately.

There are no links in the email, and it is from "customerservice@koodomobile.com", when I say I forgot my email address the koodo website claims a person with my name and number is not on file, but when I call all my information is there.

That seems odd Justen. I don't see any changes to your account at the moment. Have you also received an email with a validation link? From my end I can see you logged in today.

I was able to set up self serve again by using my account number and setting up a new account, which then sent me a new validation link. My self serve account was deleted, which I still don't understand.

If after trying all options you still haven't solved the issue, i would back up any important info,
ie: contacts, family photos etc... I would just format the micro sd card and eject, then remove sim card after which you can perform a factory reset, restoring your phone to its original default settings. Then you install your sim and sd to retrieve your important info. And create a new account. Hopefully you find a easier solution, but if all else fails this is an option.

This is NOT a phone issue. Hard resetting the phone will accomplish nothing.

Thanks for all your help everyone, looks like I was able to set up a new self serve account just by starting from scratch and signing up with a new account. Still not sure why my profile was deleted in the first place though.
