My phone is a Nokia Lumia 610.
Is it a problem with the phone or the Koodo mobile network?

Well, I cann tell you the Koodo network works just fine! I receive send text right away. Except for MMS. I tend to receive them way after they were sent sometimes. Is it only MMSs? Or also SMSs?

This happens to me occasionally, too. But like once every 2 or 3 months so it doesnt bother me much. I figure it is a slight glitch in the network reception at the time. How often does this happen to you, Andalu?

I should have use SMS? I am not a communication specialist . After looking more precisely what is a MMS, I will understand this could have a delay. I am talking about SMS

Fortunately, it dosn't happen very offen. I am tryinng to find out if it is myself, the phone company or the SMS system in general.

In some industries we use 3 ways communications between people to ensure a message is well received?
But as you know, this is not the way it woks in day to day communication .

Well, an SMS (Short Message Service) automatically turns into an MMS (Multimedia MEssage Service) once you add pictures/video/audio to the text message. What I have noticed is the delay usually occurs when I have data off. When data is on, it immediately gets received on my phone... but when data is off, it seems to confuse my phone as to whether to notify me or not. lol

I usually get a MMS delay of about 5-10 mins.
SMS is usually right away but there have been random occasions where someone right beside sends me a text and it took as long as 10mins to reach me. This happens usually when my friend and I are on different networks. As long as it doesnt happen too often, it is normal. If it happens persistently, give Koodo tech support a call 1-866-995-6636

Yes I text people who are right in front of me.... I'm one of those people :p

Text messaging isn't instant. It can take up to 20 minutes for messages to be delivered/received. If it takes longer than 20 minutes, then there's a delay in the texting service. At that point, try a battery pull to resolve the issue.
