Problem with my Samsung Galaxy S4!!

I have the Samsung Galaxy S4. I purchased this phone a couple of months ago...maybe in January. So, almost a year. When I recently got this phone, it was working perfectly fine. After a few months of using it, it began to restart automatically at random times. This is starting to happen more often than it did before. Has this happened to anyone? I am not sure what to do. Should I the Koodo located near me? If so, will they be giving me a replacement phone? Thanks!

Hi Joannie,

What you're describing is a software issue with the phone, there have been plenty of reports of people having issues with their Samsung devices restarting randomly on their own. Now what needs to happen in order to fix these issues generally is to do a factory reset of the device.

The steps to do that on the Samsung Galaxy S4 are as follows:

1.From your home screen press the apps icon in the lower right corner.

2. Find and press the settings icon.

3. In the upper end of the screen press the accounts tab.

4. in the bottom of the next screen press the Backup and reset button.

5.Press the factory data reset and;

6. Read the info on your cell phone screen and hit Reset device.

**Before you do any of this be sure to back up your data from your phone so that you can restore it later**. If this doesn't fix said issue you can take the phone in and see if you can get it looked at as it is still under warranty.

Hope that helps! :)

You're welcome! If that hasn't fixed the issue you will have to see if the nearest Koodo kiosk will send it in for warranty servicing and see if they can fix the issue that way, that's the only other thing I can suggest.

Hope something gets sorted out for you.

Hi Matthew,

You said nobody came back to your question. I have to be honest here, I can't answer your questions because I usually have no idea what you are talking about. I guess that English is not your first language?

Do you have a friend perhaps, or a relative, who you can pose your problem to verbally and then ask them to write down your issue in clear, concise language and in proper English (or French)? That way you KNOW you will get an answer. We are all willing to talk to you but it is a bit hard to understand you....
