I am trying to port my number to Chatr,  they have submitted a request to port on June 2nd (almost 2 weeks) but the request was not processed, my Koodo number is active on the $15 plan until July. Chatr is saying that the issue is on Koodo's side. Please help.

Since we do not have acess to those kind of information I would recommend contacting koodo on FB in order to see what's wrong. Here's the link www.m.me/koodo

My personal opinion, yes. Waiting on hold is never really any fun and with facebook you can message back and forth on your own time.

Isn't it as simple as going to chatr and porting number from Koodo? I think you need your pin number, as well.

Yes, it was suppose to be that simple, it worked for me in the past. This time Chatr is claiming that the number is not active even though it is. So I am one carrier is blaming the other for this.

Karine if you don't mind is there any specific reason why you are leaving Koodo? I assume your $15 plan is prepaid one.

Chatr will say that because they're not successfully porting the number. Did you give Chatr your IMEI and device model info? Also, you may want to verify with Koodo pre-paid to make sure that your same device is associated with your Koodo account.

I think they already have all the info they need to get the job done, they are just too stubborn

It looks like Karine did everything she could here. After all she had some experience in the past with porting.

It is unacceptable to wait 3 weeks to solve it. Whoever fault it is going to be and you'll fid it out sooner or later it will help you definitely to decide which provider you want stay with although your case could be really exception not a rule on both sides.

Are they playing porting games with you?

I am wondering why any rep didn't step up here yet to figure it out or help to solve the problem.

Koodo reps arent actively on the forums and only pop in every once in awhile. As Karrie already sent them a message on facebook she will be looked after by a Koodo rep that way.

Thanks everyone for your feedback and support, I have convinced Chatr to finally send another request and this time it worked. The left me wondering if they really tried the first time or was it an issue on Koodo's side. The mystery remains but the problem is solved. Good day all.
