problem of transfer

Hi. 

I was using the fido service but I want to change the service from Fido to Koodo.

I didn't have any contract with Fido.

I visited Koodo store yesterday.(2018.June 30)

I told your clerk that I want to keep my phone number.

She asked my fido account.

I gave my wife's phone to her because there's application of Fido who has my fido account.

She checked and put my informations at her computer.

After all, I received my new Iphone. but after 1 hour I realized my phone number was changed.

I visited again that store but she told me she could't understand what happened to me.

She told me Just call 611, request change your number, it will be easy and  she can do  nothing for me.

I called 611 but they didn't received it.

After that  I went to FIdo sotre to confirm my fido account was canceled.

But it wasn't canceled.

It means that transfer was wrong. isn't it?

In addition, my phone doesn't work normally.

My new phone can't get the call ,can't get the message and even using  the internet.

I can JUST make a phone call.

Do you understand why did it happen?????


I think your clerk made a mistake but she didn't accept!!!


Anyway, I want to use your service.

So I ask you something.

1. Check this situation. and Transfer from Fido to Koodo EXACTLY please.

2. Please show me your efforts. 

Fido's number : 514-652-7832
Koodo's : 514-654-7832

I want to use 514-652-7832.

I hope we can have a good relation.

The forum is mainly for customer interaction, people here don't have access to your account (except some agents who pass by sometimes). If agents want to help you, they would  ask you to contact them to other channel as they need to validate your account.

You could call them 1 (866) 995-6636. Today is a national holiday, so there might be some delay on calls. You could also send message to their facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Koodo).

From your description, they only transferred the number which ever you gave the detail to. Are you sure you gave the agent the correct number to port into Koodo? They need to enter the correct number and account, and name to be able to port.

When you ported out, the service with Fido was automatically canceled, so you might want to contact Fido also to port your number back.

Sounds kinda strange that they were able to port a number that wasn't yours into your Koodo account. If your Fido account is still active, which it should be, you should be able to still port your number in to your Koodo account.

Something for sure went wrong but it sounds like it's still fixable if your Fido account is still active.

You definitely need to contact Koodo to fix this.  The port was messed up.

Just FYI for the future.  Never port your number when setting up your account.  Only once the new account is up and running to your satisfaction should you port your number over via self serve
