Is it possible to check voicemail when roaming outside of canada? .
I am in Germany, and I have internal roaming in my plan. However, I cannot call or send text to any number (so cannot access my voicemail from my own cell phone). Is it possible to retrieve my voicemail by skype call?
I tried to call my phone number by skype, as suggested in some threads, but it only connected to my cell phone as an incall, did not access to my voice mail. Could any one please help me, thanks a lot

When you call your own number and you get your voicemail, you need to press the star "*" key to get your password prompt

I called 1+my phone number by skype, and it shows in my cell phone as an incoming call, was not able to access voicemail.
I also did this using my cell phone, however, as I mentioned, I cannot call any number (even I have active international roaming), this also fails

Could you be more elaborate on your suggestions?

How are you dialing your phone number?  When you dial from your cell in Germany, you would need to dial 011 + your 10-digit phone number.  https://www.howtocallabroad.com/results.php?callfrom=germany&callto=canada

From Skype, I'm not sure what you would do, possibly the same or maybe just your 10-digit number--I'm not quite sure.
