Prepaid - Receiving international calls BLOCKED! without international boosters

Koodo introduced international boosters with a very misleading message: need international boosters to make international calls --- surprise! surprise! Receiving all international calls blocked unless you have purchased international boosters. Really?? Why is it not indicated that receiving international calls is blocked??
Soo many boosters; any other ideas for more boosters?

Hmm...not a fan of that. The only upside I can see is that it used to require 5 booster Canadian minutes to call for 1 international minute. The international boosters cost quite a bit less than the old system in that regard.

You should still be able to receive international calls on your regular boosters - are you sure it's not just for calling out?

Koodo sent prepaid users a text June 18 which clearly states:

"If you purchased a Canada-wide Talk Booster before June 21, 2018, you can continue to use it to make international and US calls until it's fully used up."

Not a peep about incoming calls otherwise being blocked. If that's the case, then it follows that answering a long-distance call would cost you the long distance rate, so both sending and receiving networks both get to hose their customer. That would certainly be a new low for the industry.

They wouldn't block international incoming calls. There is no extra benefit in doing so.
I think there was something else. The OP might have spent all of his minutes.
