You have always been able to use post paid phones on the prepaid service.
You just have to buy them outright.

There are also some prepaid bundles still available.
My local store has the Alcatel Pixi in 4 inch and 4.5 inch models available for prepaid.

That has not always been the case Mitchell. Whenever you go to a Koodo kiosk, sometimes they will let you other times they wouldn't. Third party vendors were always the best to get regular phones for prepaid.

Since Koodo is not extending you any credit or incentive to stay with them on prepaid, you may as well buy the phone from a third party.

Geez, all they offer now is a flip phone.

You are able to go buy unlocked phones at stores like Best Buy and Staples, they have a much bigger variety that you could bring over to prepaid.

I don't need a new phone quite yet, but, it just makes me feel like Koodo is giving up on their prepaid service :(

it seems like most providers are giving up on prepaid.  At both my local Real Canadian Superstore and Walmart, there are no Koodo or Virgin prepaid phones.  Walmart has maybe 3 prepaid phones altogether, while at RCSS they have lots of Bell, PC, and Rogers phones, but only 2 or 3 Fido PPD phones, 2 Telus PPD phones, and 3 Chatr PPD phones.

Prepaid and postpaid phones with Koodo are exactly the same phones. The only difference with phones bundled as prepaid devices is that they included a prepaid sim card with the phone.

Hey Jru, which locations are you referring to? Prepaid should be displayed for sure and we will connect with these locations to make sure they go up :) Thanks for letting us know!
