Prepaid Long Distance as a standard on plans

On Koodo Prepaid, the long distance is as follows,
1 Canadian minutes uses 1 minute from the pool
1 US minutes uses 2 minutes from the pool
1 International minute uses 5 minute from the pool

If this could be implemented on the price plans instead of adding overages on the bill. so if the plan has 1000 minutes, that would be 500 minutes if they call US and 250 minutes if they call international.

If the plans are not enough they can add more minutes to their bucket.

If the plans are unlimited calling within canada, they can add the minutes separately only for international. So lets say what they had on Public Mobile. $20 for 1000 International minutes or 2500 USA minutes. and disregard the Canadian minutes since their plan includes unlimited calling.

That's a very good idea, Billy!

However, it's a very good idea that doesn't benefit Koodo financially (by not charging you extra).

For this reason, I think the idea will be reviewed (like all ideas), but ultimately, will be rejected. Only my opinion, though.

Agreed with David. It's a really good idea and I would personally like to see that but it won't be a good idea to Koodo's financial side so it won't go through probably.

I'm sorry, but if I'm burning through minutes in the talk booster twice, or even three times as fast, I'm buying boosters with much greater frequency.

How does this not work to Koodo's benefit? *confused*

Richard, Billy was talking about applying prepaid's system over to monthly. On monthly plans, Koodo makes much more money charging extra for U.S. and international calls rather than deducting minutes faster like on prepaid.

Being an ex-customer of Public Mobile, I do miss that feature a lot.

I rarely make US/international calls and I would definitely commit my $20 into getting International Long Distance Add-on today if it was available to get.
