Hello,
I am using phone monthly plan $25.
But, I don't need calling a lot. I think that the monthly plan is expensive to me.
So, I would like to change to $15 prepaid phone.
I have already usim chip.
and, I want to keep my phone number and usim chip.
When I visited koodo shop, they can't  do anything. so, they said that I need to call koodo call center.
I would like to change prepaid plan right now.
Can you help me?

That is very strange. Did you visit an actual Koodo store/kiosk or a third-party vendor? Only the Koodo stores/kiosks have prepaid SIM cards. You might also try eBay (but make sure it is a prepaid SIM - not all sellers make this clear).

I asked them. sim card that I am using on my phone and prepaid sim card are same?
They said, Yes.

If I want to change to prepaid plan, I have to buy usim card again for prepaid?????

That unfortunately is not something that we can do. We can provide info and such and the employees on this forum can do some things but that will require calling 611 to change.

Changing to prepaid is very straightforward. No point in calling 611, they will tell you to visit a store since you need a new SIM only available at a Koodo boutique.

There is no commission in it for Walmart or others so the only place you will find a Koodo prepaid SIM (not the same as post-paid) is a Koodo boutique, who will take your $20 and shuffle you off to fix yourself up online. Don't worry about the $20... you get it credited back to your account when you set it up.

Keep your Koodo post-paid account alive. Do not cancel it, since registering for prepaid will take of that for you automatically. Have a credit card or other payment method handy.  Consider setting up automatic top-ups since that will save you 10% on your plan, and follow the instructions:

https://www.koodomobile.com/prepaid-plans?INTCMP=KMNew_NavMenu_Shop_PrepaidPlans

Takes about 10 minutes total. You will probably have to reboot your phone.

If you need billing information from your old post-paid plan, best to download the pdf files now because they will be history after 90 days.

Just a PS: there is no problem keeping your old phone number, but you any tab balance outstanding will be added to your final post-paid bill.

thank you
when I registered phone, I brought my phone and I just bought an usim card.
In this case, no charge anything?

Like what Bob said, if you owe an outstanding negative Tab balance on the postpaid plan, it will get billed to you. If not, you'll be fine.
