Prefix for a forwarded call from my work line

I have an iPhone 5 and I recently started a new job where the company line and my extension gets forwarded to my cell phone. Apparently my company told me there should be a prefix of "CDM" (company name) that shows up on the caller ID from any call that is coming from that line. I want to be able to see which calls are from my work line and which calls are coming through my personal line? Any ideas?

Hi Michelle,

Have you done a test by calling your office number and seeing what appears on your caller ID? From what you're saying, instead of displaying ###-###-#### it should automatically display CDM ###-###-####.

I have. The number just shows up as ###-###-####. No prefix or anything.

If you call your work desk from another phone, what number shows up on your iPhone display, your work number or the phone that's initiating the call?

Unless you pay for a premium service available only from some suppliers, cell call forwarding will usually pass on the originating number and only display the name of that person if it's in the mobile's directory.
