Positive tab balances should have more flexible uses like purchasing accessories, mitigating overage/roaming fees, or paying off other Tabs

A lot of people have a positive tab balance and I feel that for some, it would be a better reward for loyalty if it could be used to purchase other things from Koodo like accessories. It'd also be great if a positive tab balance could be used to pay off overage or roaming fees.

It'd also be excellent if Tab's could be pooled on accounts, so if a hypothetical family has two members with a negative Tab and one with a positive, the positive Tab could be used to help reduce the negative Tabs. Koodo has very few, if any, benefits for families, and this would be a good one.

Purchasing accessories is something I'd like to be able to do with my Tab balance as well.

The others though while they'd be nice, likely won't happen.

We can dream I suppose haha.

Honestly I have no idea why using positive tabs to pay off linked accounts isn't a thing. It'd likely just reinforce other negative tab purchases, forcing loyalty again. Not to mention tab's can't be longer than 2 years now anyways. What are they gonna lose? Like a month of surety?

You said it, they encourage you to continue going into a negative tab. Right now, I'm a few months to pay off my tab. I could get 10 percent off a month, or I could buy a 150 dollar phone, then get 15 percent off my tab. Doesn't make much sense

Well I would love to see the BYOD discount increase to 15 to at the very least match or even 20% as there's way less cost to Koodo for providing service for an unsubsidized phone but that's slightly off topic.

I wouldn't mind seeing the positive Tab being allowed to buy accessories, (Fido allows it with their Fido dollars) but this would impose another restriction on retailers like myself and to be frank, I think you'd be better off buying them on eBay, Amazon, Ali express, etc. The selection is a lot bigger and there's a big markup in stores to make a profit.

I completely agree that I'd likely be better off purchasing from another retailer, but as it stands now I think a lot of people, myself included, have a positive tab balance that they cant really do anything with if they don't intend to purchase a phone anytime soon. I'd rather be able to purchase something with that balance than nothing at all.

Well you could always get something like the Moto G or S III and then sell it to make profit? Lol

Honeslty though....who in their right mind is gonna buy a moto G. I just bought a BB Priv and I yes I've had the moto for 3 years, I probably couldn't sell it for more then $10. the technology available right now beats that phone for a better price unless you're selling to a 12 year old who wants their first phone. either way, you're still going to take a hit financially. Which further solidifies the notion that we should be able to purchase gear or accessories in store or even better pay off other tab, etc etc.
