Porting Virgin Mobile Number (Invalid format for Bell error?)

I am trying to port my old number to Koodo from Virgin, but when I put in my Virgin Acct number from my old bill, it says that it's an invalid format for bell.
If I just put in my old phone's serial number, says invalid format. If I put in my old PIN, it says invalid format... and it won't let me put in nothing.

Also, I didn't realize the service needed to be active to port (I canceled Virgin, then activated with Koodo)...this was just done today. The number checker says it's still available. How necessary is this? or does it just ensure the number isn't already assigned to another person?

It is absolutely necessary for your account and number to be active. WIthout that then technically you dont own that number any more.

You need to go back to Virgin and try to re-activate your account and then try try porting over.

Hi, I reactivated my plan with Virgin but the form gave the same error.

The Cx. service rep gets the same error. I'm currently on hold while they contact their support department.

Update; support group had to override something to push it through.
