Porting two numbers from another provider

Hi. I've currently have two mobile phone numbers with Rogers - one used by me and the other by my mother. I just signed up for a Koodo monthly plan using a referral link from a family member. I selected the option to port my number to Koodo, but I wasn't asked which number I want to port. I think that means I will be assigned a temporary number and will then port my existing number using the self serve option when I receive my phone and SIM card.

My mother would also like to move to Koodo and create her own account using a referral link. Although I am the account holder with Rogers, will she be able to port her number to a new Koodo account if I authorize it? If so, how to I provide that authorization? Can it be done with the self serve option if I provide the Rogers account number and other billing details?

Thanks for your help.

For the first paragraph, yes you are absolutely correct.

For the second paragraph, yes when she ports her number over she just needs to add the Rogers info (and pin) when requested in the porting form. If you become an activated customer first, you can send a referral to her as well

Just to add that if your Rogers account doesnt have a pin(you would have to of set one up) leave that field blank. There is also a box that wants the phone serial number. It actually wants the phone IMEI number. It has also been said that you can leave this field blank as well because porting a number shouldnt require that info. Just letting you know since you will receive an error if trying to enter serial number.

Thanks for the extra info. I'll set up a PIN with Rogers to help them verify my identify during the transfer.
