I want to port out my number, but if I decide to port back in within 90 days, can I resume my account with the same plan I had? It's one that is no longer offered. Also, I have a positive tab credit of $150. Would I get this back or would it be gone?

Thank you

No. Porting out effectively cancels your account fully.
Any positive tab or grandfathered plan would be lost

Nope. You'll be fully cancelled and be unable to get the plan back. Positive tab balances would also be lost.

Okay, thank you for the responses. I'm assuming if I order a phone online, I won't be able to port out until I receive and activate it?

Phones don't need to be activated. So long as you purchase it and it ships out I imagine that you're fine. I'd wait for a shipping confirmation.

Just curious Matt, what is it about Freedom that appeals to you? If you already upgrading your phone we do have some pretty awesome promos right now with bonus data. And you will actually be able to use it on a network that works. :-)
