Porting number from Public Mobile issue

I am porting from Public Mobile and yesterday I got my Koodo SIM. I created the Self Serve account and the next step according to an email I got and a document that came with the SIM is to go to Change Number so the temporary number I got for Koodo is replaced with my original PM number but when I go to koodomobile.com/portmynumber it tells me this:

Your phone number is in the process of being transferred - it is not possible to change your phone number at this time.

It's been 17 hours since I created my account and I get the same message. How can I make sure that my PM is being ported? Also, can I go ahead and cancel my Public Mobile plan so it is not renewed automatically without affecting the number port? Thank you.

Try putting the Koodo sim in your phone and see if it works.
As for cancelling, when you port a number the old account should automatically be cancelled.

Hi Diego,
If you are busy and cannot wait on the phone, I would suggest you try messaging on Koodo facebook. They could look into your account also.

I tried but it said they take usually 1 day to reply. I'll try to call once I am out of the office but tomorrow my Public Mobile plan will expire so I don't know if it will be renewed automatically or if I will lose my phone number.

If you are eligible, then it should be fine. I don't think you need to renew the PM plan.

Definitely reach out to Koodo.  I believe that only an active line is able to be ported

Ok found the time to call. The first number worked, they are super good! They used my IMEI from Public Mobile and some information from my Koodo account to proceed but now I'm all good. Also they confirmed that my Public Mobile plan (or at least the automatic renewal) should be cancelled automatically. Thank you very much guys!
