I just got an unlocked G3 and set up the APN settings for mobile data to work. It works fine I get the internet no problem. When I try and set up a Portable Wifi Hotspot it never works. It says there is a temporary network problem that prevents the enablement of the mobile hot spot. please try again later. I saw something about putting the word "DUN" into the APN settings but I don't understand how.

K so I created a APN Named "Koodo Mobile Data" put sp.koodo.com under APN and at the bottom it says APN Type and I put DUN in there and now data and mobile hotspot both don't work. haha I must still be doing something wrong.

I have the same problem with my G3, I did a search on the internet, it seems it's a common problem with the G3.

There is no shortage of everyday wi-fi problems reported with the G3, let alone trying to use it as a wifi hotspot.

Type" lg g3 wifi" into the search box at the top of this forum's page, then google it if you want a full day's entertainment.

Can't believe that after all this time, wifi or basic mobile connections continue to be a problem with certain LG, Samsung or other makes of devices while other cheaper models from the same manufacturers are absolutely bulletproof.

Remove 'default' and 'dun' for the time being. Try using an asterisk (*) under APN type, minus the brackets. Don't forget to save the modification to the APN and do not reboot your phone.

So it turns out it was At&t blocking the hotspot. After some video searches I found out how to remove at&t's settings. Thanks for the help too.
