Port old number to Koodo Prepaid - is there a cost?

I opened a Koodo Prepaid account a few weeks ago, but due to some hardware issues, I delayed porting in my old phone number to ensure I would have a working phone.

Several threads on this site refer to porting in a number in the first 30 days after the account is opened, but there doesn't seem to be any information on what happens after this time. Does the self-serve option to change/port your number become disabled after this period, is there a fee added, or something else?

Welcome to the light side! We have little ponies and cookies :D

All jokes aside, porting in your number, changing it etc is completely free no matter when it's done. As far as I know, there are no limitations as to how often you change it, to what province etc.

You can change it in self service, I changed one of mine twice, then gave the account away and that person changed it to their province in the same week. Enjoy the wonderful world of prepaid :D

Hi Sophia, that would be ideal. And in that case, would you have any idea what Xavier is referring to in his post here?

I think Xavier was a little misunformed there, dun mat. I ported in a Telus number almost a year after signing up with Koodo :)
