I just moved to an area where the phone signals are poor at best and I usually get cut off especially if I move around. I only have an LG-A341 phone. If I upgrade my phone will I get a better signal and if so which phone would you recommend?

Are you along the edge of the coverage map or have you moved into a basement, large concrete apartment?

I cant see your signal improving much with a new phone unless maybe if you have LTE coverage in your area and you get an LTE smartphone.

Reception might be slightly better with another phone but it won't be a significant improvement. Are you experiencing this problem indoors or outdoors? Whereabouts do you live?

Another alternative, although pricey, are cell signal boosters that amplify the cellular signal. This method boosts weak cellular signals, reduces dropped calls while conserving the phones battery so that your phone doesn't have to work as hard to pull in a cellular signal.

Wilson Electronics - select small or medium

In my experience, not all antenna in all phones are created equal. For lower priced phones, they use cheaper and lower quality parts. As a result, the antenna in your phone could be just as much to blame as your physical location (obstruction from cell tower or proximity to cell tower). While these two things may certainly be causing the issue you're having, it could also very well be your phone.

I'd recommend finding a friend or family member that is both in your area and also on koodo and asking them what kind if signal they have and compare. This may help you determine if it's your phone or a network issue.
