Very bad network signal everywhere. Put my rogers sim in my phone to compare signal and rogers is 100% better signal. I also don't get 3g on my koodo sim. Not sure why.. And I have a Samsung s3. And my APN is correct. And I have data enabled.

Make sure your phone isn't set to GSM but it's set for CDMA in mobile settings.

Also go to your APN settings & make sure you delete all the APNs except for Koodo

I tried the CDMA and it went from 1 bar to 5 barso. But my question is does that effect anything?

If you're only using Koodo, won't affect anything (assuming that your connection is working, browsing, calls and texting works, etc.). I know for older phones (example S3), it's often required to configure the carrier's APN manually (newer phones usually do it automatically unless it's a roaming SIM).
