This is a brand new Samsung Galaxy A5 2017. It was sent to me a few days ago replacing a defective one. My issue is this: when I call someone they can't hear me due to the phone sounding like I'm rubbing it over paper or material. I never had this issue before and defective cell worked in my apartment without this issue. So I know it isn't the reception. When I call them on my landline they tell me it's like I'm putting dishes away or rattling something. And they also hear their voice echo when they talk.

hi Debby,
There could be several causes from either software or hardware. I would first try to reset network settings of the phone and see if it helps. It it doesn't help, you could try to reset the phone to its default factory settings (it will delete all data so you need to backup your data before doing so).

If a factory reset couldn't resolve the problem then you might need to contact Koodo directly for technical support or warranty replacement.

If this is a warranty replacement/repair, I would send it back sooner so that it falls within that warranty claim
