Yeah we can help.

Which phone is it? Generally they'll be in an app called "Gallery" or "Photos" or something alone those lines.

If they were backed up and it's an Android device then try checking your photos on Google + or Google Drive they could also be backed up to picassa
Thanx for your help but my ph is telling me that picassa isn't working, I checked gallery and photos but there not there, I have an Moto G phone from Koodo , if you have anything to add it will be appreciated. Thank you

Gallery is the default media manager that you'll find on your Moto G. Photos is part of Google+. While taking pictures, you were probably asked at some point to store photos using Google+ either; 'All the time' or 'Just this once'.

If you selected 'All the time', your photos are stored on Google+. If you selected 'Just his once', that photo is stored on Google+ and any other photos taken thereafter are stored in the Moto G's Gallery.

You'll need to sign into your Google account in order to access Google+. The Google+ app should also be present on your Moto G. If you want to revert the setting so that pictures are stored in the Moto G's Gallery, go to: Settings > Apps > Google+ and tap 'Clear defaults'.
