Why, while travelling across the country from Quebec to the Yukon, I could see that there were plans in manitoba and saskatchewan that were canada-wide with data that included unlimited calls and 5gig of data for 55$. Why is there a difference between the provinces for the plans? Why can't the people from other provinces like me in the Yukon (Where the wifi is not really accessible) can't benefit of a plan like this one?

Plain and simple it's competition, those provinces that offer greater deals are also the province's that have other carriers that offer plans at vastly reduced priced from the norm in Canada. We won't see these prices across Canada until those smaller carriers offer service in more areas or the big 3 and their subsidiaries get off there high horse and stop playing the Monopoly game

Or until people simply refuse to subscribe. There's always prepaid for the most essential communication needs. For everything else there's MasterCard, er, I mean WiFi.

I know this may not necessarily be an apples to apples comparison but these things happen with other stuff we consume. Like gas. Why are people paying so much more for a liter of gas in BC for the same gas. And competition doesnt explain that. It's the same companies across the country more or less.

If the plans are different for each province than what is the web site packages based off? , I just called in over a month ago to double check the plans I saw on the web and the agent suggested other plans that were not even listed. I ended up getting the $72 Canada Wide Data Plan with 3.5GB and for the wife the $62 Canada Wide Data 2.5GB as we needed more data, but I was looking to lower the packages but the plans that are on the web site would cost me more just to get less?? lol

Over a month ago those were promotional plans. They're gone now.
