two weeks ago i asked for my plan too be change they told me it would take a month before I would have new plan

That's odd ... typically it takes effect immediately (within 15mins), unless you've already made changes during that cycle.

Can you please provide further details?

It could be due to the change taking effect at the start of the new cycle.

You are allowed one change of plan per billing cycle via your self serve account. But if you really want to make the change (effective either immediately, specific date or at the start of your next billing cycle) and willing to pay the service fee of $10, you could call customer service via *611 from your koodo phone (free of charge) or 1-866-995-6636 from another phone to make the necessary change.
