i have an older koodo phone that i want to cancel and i have an i-phone 3GS with bell but not under contract can i change the sim card and transfer it to this account

Yes, you can, but your iPhone needs to be unlocked first.

If you are already with koodo you don't need to cancel, the only thing you will need to do is have IPHONE unlock by Bell, purchase a koodo micro sim card. Keep in mind that DATA is not guaranteed with unlock phones,

Data works with non-Koodo phones. MMS/tethering is where you may have issues.

Ivan, DATA might work BUT it's NOT guaranteed, i can asure you that if you have an unlock phone and DATA is not working the reps will tell you the same exact thing.

More often than not, data will work on non-Koodo devices. The 3GS is a grey area but is the oldest iPhone Koodo can provide data on. The most common reason why data does not work is that the Koodo APN settings aren't in the unlocked phone. That whole "lack of guarantee" is a last resort if data does not work after troubleshooting. I rarely use it, myself, since I usually can get the internet working on such devices.
