I have recently moved for work from BC to Fort Smith Northwest Territories I'm currently on a 45 dollar plan month to month that gives me 2 gig of data unlimited canada-wide talk and text. I'm wondering if there is a better plan for the area I'm in I have tried to message Koodo through Facebook and nothing and when I call for customer service it's over a 30 minute wait time which I cannot do. Does anybody know if there are any good plans or promos in the Northwest Territories once again I am on month-to-month and get a bill every month.

Koodo’s plans are on the website at koodomobile.com.

To my knowledge, there are no specials for the north.

The currently-offered plans for BC and NT seem identical, but a little more expensive than what you have now. If you are willing to put up with keeping your current BC number, you can continue under your current regime for a while, but changing your number to a NT area code will force you to pick a new plan there.

Customers also have the option to change their plan once per billing cycle thru self-serve at no charge.Your usage pattern in a new job and location might shift. You don't have to take a leap of faith and be stuck with anything for any appreciable length of time.

@RickMawn, there is a promo going on now with an extra gig included in certain plans. You could switch online to the $50 plan that comes with 3gb. That's only $5 more for an extra gig, which is a much better value as opposed buying more data top up when you run out of data.

The $50 plan I see you online only has 500 minutes of Canada like calling is there a specific link to get to the one you're talking about?

It’s not unlimited minutes in that plan, if that’s what you are wondering. You mentioned you were in need of more data. If you need more minutes than 500 daytime and evening and weekend included then you would have to pick the next plannup.
