I want to change my plan to the $28 lightweight plan shown on the main plan page but when I go to switch it, it is not available to choose

If you want one of the new plans then you'd need to pay off your existing tab, if any, and call customer service to switch to the new plans.

There's no service charge since this isn't something you can do on your own via self serve.

Note: if you're currently getting the 10% BYOD discount, it t is also not compatible with the new plans. And you'll loose it if you switch to a newer plan.
