I got a text saying that there's trouble processing my request to move to koodo but I actually wanted to only change my phone number I already has am with koodo

If the number you want is already in use, then their system sees it as a porting problem, since you don't "own" it.

You will have to call *611 to get it sorted out. This is a discussion forum with no access to any client records.

As long as your phone still works, Ignore the message you got.

Log into self serve and you'll find a link there to change your phone number.

Would getting a new plan cancel the transfer that's preventing me from sending out texts

I doubt it. Plan and number are two independent processes.

Can you be more specific as to what your problem is at this point? I gather you have the number you wanted, but can't send texts.

How did you go about doing this port/number change/plan revision?

Got it fixed the problem is that I tried to change only the area number so I went and got a completely new number and every thing is good sorry for bothering you
