I have a Samsung Galaxy Grandprime - I addede a 64Gig extra memory card.  I took it in my vacation (3-weeks) to Germany and Iceland.  I can take the picture and I can display it however, as soon as I take additional picture, the previous one turns Black.  The only option presented when displaying the black picture is Delete.  I am devastated.  All my pictures turned black.

Do you have an external card reader? Perhaps you can see if the card can be read by a computer

You can also goto

Photos.google.com

There is a possibility the photos were backed into your Google account

I also tried to see the photos on my laptop by 2 methods: 1) connecting via USB and pics in laptop are also black and 2) by "reading" the 64Gig card into a card reader. Same result.  Pics are all black.

Samsung's Smart Switch is another option where a backup of your phone, including photos stored on an SD card, can be created. Smart Switch will create a backup folder on your computer. When the backup completes, the location and contents of the backup folder can be viewed by clicking; More (from the Smart Switch intro screen) > Preferences > Details > View Backup folder.

With the backup folder visible and to view photos stored in the SD card folder, look for and double-click on the Photo folder. Do the same to open the following folders: _External_ (refers to SD card storage) > DCIM > Camera. At this point, you should be able to see all the photos that are stored on the SD card. (Note: photos will remain on the SD card).
