So I'm currently on a tiered data plan with a Nexus 4 phone. My question is what other phones are eligible for this type of data plan? Because I know the newer flashier phones are not covered (iphone 6, Galaxy 5, etc.).

What do you mean not covered? You can get any phone you want with your current plan, but you might perhaps only qualify for the small Tab, depending on your base plan price :)

My current base plan is Canada-Wide Talk + Text 25 Dbl (as described in my Koodo app). Can I keep this plan and my tiered data arrangement if I upgrade to, say an iphone 5s or android equivalent?

Yes, absolutely! But as I expected, you will only qualify for Tab S (Tab M requires a plan of 30 or higher). I would not give up your awesome plan for anything in the world though, it was one of the best Koodo ever offered.

I'm not sure what Tab S versus Tab M means. Does this mean how much Koodo offsets or subsidizes the cost of the phone? Keeping the same plan is key, as you've pointed out.

In both cases, Koodo will contribute 15% of each monthly bill towards your phone and the phone will be paid off in two years or less.

The difference is that with Tab S, your phone will be $150 subsidized up front. So for example for a $500 phone, you would need to pay $350 up front and the rest will be paid off through your monthly bills.

With Tab M, your phone will cost $300 less up front, but your own contribution would be $5 each month extra on top of your plan. However for that you need to have a plan of $30 or higher... and to me it wouldn't be worth changing my plan for!
