Do you have any money left on your tab? It is still going to be costly for a new phone, unfortunately.

One thing that I would do though is to make sure that you report the phone as stolen to Koodo - this will eliminate any long distance charges after the fact

Also, if you have any idea who did steal it you may want to report the theft to the police

Even though you've had the phone since May Koodo now has 3 levels of tabs instead of just the single $150 Tab. If your plan is $30 or more then you can get a phone on a medium Tab which is $300 so you'd have the remaining portion of the $300 minus what your tabs at right now. Tab medium has a recurring monthly charge of $5 for the 2 years or until the tabs paid off whichever comes sooner.
Your other option is a Large tab which is $500 so you'd have $500 minus the amount you have on the tab right now to use towards a phone. To be eligible for a large tab you'd need a tab large plan & there would be a $10 tab charge every month for the next 2 years or until you have paid it off whichever comes first.

If you have an old phone sitting around you may be able to get some trade in credits to put towards the cost of a new phone also.

you can trade-in a maximum of 1 phone at one time from any carrier to receive a credit towards a new phone.

OR you can always purchase an unlocked device online and continue to pay for your current tab. Once your tab is payed you'd be eligible for a 10% discount on your monthly bill. Keep in mind the Small tab has a max threshold of $150. If you wish to get the medium it's $300 max threshold (with $5 tab charge) which goes directly to the tab. Or you can go with the large for up to $500 towards the phone plus $10 tab charge. Keep in mind you'll have to choose from 1 of the large tab plans that start at $65 if you go this route. I hope this helps

You can always call Customer Service about this and it sucks having your phone stolen. Koodo is usually very generous with these kinds of situations and will maybe give you a tab discount or such.

Don't expect anything more than $50 though. Having your phone stolen does suck, but Koodo isn 't required to do anything to cover it, nor is it covered under the warranty.

Hopefully it doesn't, but if it happens again before you get a chance to install a locator App & if it's an Android device, before suspending the service you might want to try remotely installing Plan B from the Google Play Store--> https://play.google.com/store/apps/de...
