Hi I am new koodo user. I am using my old phone with previous carrier and it's unlocked. But once I put in my new koodo sim card. When I turn on my phone it says network is locked. it requires a unlock pin. I phoned my previous carrier they answered its a issue with koodo. Please help me. btw, my number is swithed over to koodo. my account is canceled with previous carrier.

Sounds like your phone is not properly unlocked, else it would not be asking for an unlock PIN. Your previous carrier is the one to fix this, possibly by issuing a fresh PIN, or stepping you through the process.

PUK code is different than an Unlock PIN. PUK resets a SIM which had a user-set PIN code for which too many SIM unlock code attempts. You will need to contact Koodo with the SIM number handy to obtain a PUK code.

David is right. If your phone is asking for a SIM network unlock pin when you plug in the koodo SIM card, that means your phone is NOT UNLOCKED. You can wait on the phone with Koodo for a PUK code if you like, but I can guarantee that it isn't going to help.
