Phone only online, can I still transfer my phone number at kiosk?

If the phone I want is only available online, but I want to transfer my number from another provider can I still get the phone I want from the kiosk? I want the Nexus 5x or 6p both of which are only available online, but I am wanting to carry my phone number over from another carrier and Koodo indicates I need to go to a kiosk for that, can I still get the Nexus phones from the kiosks?

Hi Shayna,

When you receive the phone ordered online, during the online activation process you will be given the option to port your number without the need of going to a kiosk.

Okay, I ordered it online, selected that I wanted to carry over my number. However then I got an email back from customer support saying I needed to go to a Kiosk and then I could order the phone online. Sooo now I'm not really sure. I ordered the phone yesterday, but haven't received confirmation that I was approved, I emailed back customer support asking if I should cancel that order or if I could just bring the phone in to the kiosk and have them activate and port the number over all at once. Their response was not helpful at all, I'll be calling web support this afternoon when the lines are open.
