I have a Samsung galaxy note 2, and I've been having a recurring problem since I got the phone. It's been a sporadic problem, so it hasn't bothered me too much, but just tonight I completely failed to receive four phone calls in a row from my wife, who is also on Koodo, and text messages will often stick, not being delivered until hours later or sometimes arriving in batches after I've sent one out. My phone never seems to lose signal, my work and house are both in good reception from the city, and out sending messages and calls are fine. The network sticking and failing to send messages and calls to my phone, even on non-peak hours, is my problem. I have tried the Sim card and battery pull for a full five minutes with no resolution.

Your best option would be to call Koodo tech support, selecting option 6 from a landline phone. Ask if there are or were any network issues in your area. I'm suggesting using a landline because tech support will likely want to go through some troubleshooting steps that can't be done while you're talking on your Note 2.

I've tried calling tech support, and they looked through the logs showing late deliveries to my device but no answer as to why. Recently the issue has moved to late night, definitely non peak hours, where not only will I not receive texts until 30 minutes to an hour late, but totally fail to receive phone calls, callers tell me it goes straight to voicemail. Is this a problem with specifically the note 2 or the Sim card? I've tried pulling the sum card and battery for 20 minutes but no resolution yet.

Hello Am'berr. Have you tried hard reseting your phone? Is your SIM card ok? Did you update to the last firmware available?

I've had my phone in twice for repairs. I'm suspecting its the Sim card now. Have you tried a new Sim or putting your Sim into a different phone?

So I just took my phone in this weekend and got a new Sim card, so far it's been cooperating without missing a beat. I'd recommend going to a kiosk that offers phone repair and telling them exactly what's going on. My Sim card got replaced for free and like I said, -so far- it works flawlessly!

No unforunately it only seemed to be a temporary fix. It has to be some problem with the phone itself.

I haven't yet but it's going to be the first thing I try when I take mine in this weekend. if I find out anything I'll share it here.

Did you ever find out anything? I'm having the exact same issue now with my s6, I've had my sim card replaced and it's still not working

One thing to try is a factory reset after you back up your data. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Yes it's a pain to reset your phone but on the other hand you will know that you have tried as much as possible and your phone will be clean of all trace of left behind data from uninstalled apps.
