My wife and I bought 2 new GalaxyS5 Neos about 4 months ago. Noticed this week when we were twice on line together I got a wack of google & other app update Notifications & she got none. Checked google play settings & they are identical (update via Wi-Fi send update Notifications etc.). What do I need to do to get her phone to update?

Hi !

There's nothing to be worried about, it can take a few days for the update to be available to everyone as time is needed to push it on all concerned devices.

Keep us posted !

OP is talking about app updates, not OS updates.

Huh??? I am talking about multiple repeat updates for numerous apps over what is now 13 days (since I noticed the issue). I just got 3 more on my phone as I type this (that's 11 today & 14 last week) & you don't think 4 months & no updates is unusual..... come on .... really???
I just checked her phone for a few of the most popular Google Apps at the App Store (a tedious exercise in total boredom ... i might add)) and they say "Update" ... but still there was no Notification received that an Update was available.

Try going to: Settings > Applications - tap Application Manager. Scroll down to and tap Google Play services. Under the heading Notifications, It should show that notifications are allowed for the app. Tap Notifications to verify that both 'Allow notifications' and 'Previews in pop-ups' are both enabled. Do the same for Google Play Store.

Another way to check if notifications are enabled or disabled for a specific app, is to go to: Settings > Notifications - tap Advanced in the the upper right corner. Tap ALL apps and select from the list; 'Apps with blocked notifications'. A list will appear with only the apps that have notifications blocked.
