Do someone from Europe has to insert a special code before my number when calling me in Canada?

Yes. It's either 001 before your area code or +1 before your area code.

No special code needed. They need to dial they same way they call any other international numbers from Europe, including the country code for Canada.

That is a "special" code. It's not the same calling within Europe as it is calling North America from Europe.

011 to call to Europe from Canada, 001 to Canada from Europe. :-) If that's what we call "special" than fine. I had the feeling Stefan thought calling a mobile phone was different. Either way he got his answer.
