If it hasn't been already suggested to community admin, is there a way to alert forum users to not give out sensitive personal info on this public forum. It seems to be happening quite often.

This forum can be viewed by anyone, including those, for lack of better words, "without good intentions".

Maybe an email reminder, or pop up that disappears?

It would be fairly hard to catch all personal info with a popup, but a notice about not disclosing things like phone number, address, etc just about the post box should be fair game.

Yep, it is scary what folks will post online or send by email. I've see a lot through our business too. Always send back a reminder to not send that sort of stuff electronically.

They did have a warning at the top of where you post a question but it's not there now, I'm sure they had it unless I'm thinking about a different part of the Koodo site. They should definitely bring it I agree. I've ran into quite a few scams online lately and it will only get worse. Not a good idea to make it easy for those ppl

@justin Currently I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace on Gingerbread. I'm hoping to upgrade to a Nexus 4, but I've had some good suggestions on the forum as to other models to look into. I've spent most of my quiet time this winter looking into different tablets, and have been waiting on the Nexus 10 32GB to come back in store, but at this point I probably won't need one once Spring hits, so might wait and see if the update the model with better hardware come fall (hoping some info will come out of Google I/O). Have an Acer Chromebook coming up from the US with my parents from Florida - my nice cheap laptop. I post from my desktop, since it's easier to type and read from. I like Swype, but I don't want to have to write long posts from it, especially if it involves doing a little side research on a problem.

Cool man, I like Swype too but have u tried talk to text for those longer posts? Might save your finger from Swype-itis, lol. Btw, the Nexus 4 seems like nice upgrade. I think u can buy for just over $400 direct from google, taxes & S/H. The HTC Amaze retailed for $600 can be bought for less than $200 new and just needs unlocking. Dual core, 1.5 ghz, "amaze"ing camera spec, and built like a tank. Not sure if it'll get jelly bean though.
