Payment made but bill remains

I had a big bill ($124) for the last cycle, and I paid on january 4th through online banking (my bank record still show the payment); today is the 7th but according to koodo I still owe the same amount. What is up?

When I pay telus they have an option for notifying them if a bill is paid. So i guess things like that are not automatically registered (or their system is reeeally slow?)

Or is it just because it takes a few business days? (the past three days have been the weekend, today = monday)

It takes 3 to 5 business days for a payment to process from the bank.

So the 4th was a friday. Saturday and Sunday nothing happens, as they are not considered business days. That would make today (Monday the 7th) day 2.

So Sometime between Tuesday and Thursday the payment will be reflected on your account.

For me personally, my payment usually hit on the day 3 mark.

That being said, if your worried they'll suspend your account, you can give them a call and let them know you've made your payment through online banking. In most cases (in my personal experience) they'll put a note on your account that payment was made, and give you a grace period for the time it will take to post to your account.
