I don't think they can. It will just come off your next bill.

Depending on the situation, they MIGHT. Very unlikely but it is always good to ask :)

What are you talking about, Tyler? If someone overpays on their bill, it's just applied to the next bill. That's always how it works.

I'm talking about some situations where customers have called in demanding the overpayment to be sent back aside from what was currently owed. Example; Customer's bill is $38, they paid $100 for some reason. They call in to see about getting the $62 reversed due to a severe financial reason why.

The majority of the time, after a brief explanation, people will just let it stay in the account like you said. If it comes down to the people that do NOT want it to stay as a credit balance, we would advise the customer to contact thier bank or credit card company to reverse the entire payment then reapply it for the exact amount owed.

I have heard of situations where the Paymnet Management team has refunded to overpayment amount. It's rare, but it happens.

Payment management will refund if the account is not past due and if the credit is valid (an overpayment is valid) , the only thing however is that it could take up to 4-6 weeks to receive a refund cheque which is why in cases of small overpayment, most people decide to leave it on there, as Koodo can not refund dirtectly a bank account, unless requested by the bank itself, but the bank will usually charge for that.It s easier to refund a credit card, but on a credit card its the full amount that will be refunded (not just the balance) as it takes 3-5 buis days for credit to arrive on the card

Ben is right they will ALWAYS refund a payment (over $5) but most people leave it because of the length of time it take to process the refund and receive the check in the mail by that time your next bill is due anyway. Unless its a payment on a closed account in which case waiting for the check is not a big deal to most people.
