Hey guys. I used up all my data this past month and still had a few days left before my plan reset. I got the offer to pay $5 extra to have another 250mb of data which I have done before (needed to open my map app). Only problem is, this time it didn't shut off after the 250mb. I get a text a few days later stating I spent over 10$ on data. I only agreed to $5. In the past it shut off/notified me after the 250mb were used up. That's a pretty dirty trick to get extra money out of people...?

Did you get the exact same text again? Are you on a pre shock-free data plan or with shock-free?

As an aside, you could check out HERE or MapFactor Navigator, which allow you to pre-load your maps on wifi so there's no need for mobile data on that score.

Hello,  I was overcharged for data while I had paid for and was covered under the 750 MB/month US roaming plan. June 29th and June 30th I was covered while travelling in the USA, the data is well below the max but I was still overcharged an additional $30.  Notice on my bill from 21:06 to 21:11 the usage states 20 MB with no charge.  On June 29th while being covered under the 750 MB/month US roaming plan I was charge $30 for 236.85 MB.  We just cancelled the service because we found it very difficult to connect with AT&T and any of the other network providers, even though it is a new phone and even when we had 4 or 5 bars we were constantly dropping calls.  We just called Koodoo customer service and the rep couldn't hear us.  Would appreciate if someone would look into this data usage.  Thank you.

If you cancelled the roaming package, you would pay at pay per use rates for the trip. There is no pro-rating of roaming packages.

Please read what was written before responding.  I don't think I could have been more concise... "I was overcharged for data while I had paid for and was covered under the 750 MB/month US roaming plan. June 29th and June 30th I was covered while travelling in the USA, the data is well below the max but I was still overcharged an additional $30."  Can you find out why $30 was added to my bill while I had already paid for the added coverage?  Thank you.

Nope! I, and most of the others here are customers offering help to other customers. We have no access to your account information.

You will need to contact Koodo directly to discuss your bill. Contact info is at the bottom of the page.

@ Bruce
Did you check the page 3 on your E-bill?
It's showing you all the detail info for your charges.
Does it say $30 for data? Maybe something else?
