I have $135 additional on my bill for airtime overage?  I received no warning, no text for this.  I am not paying the full amount of this $135.00.  I need someone to get back to me asap.  Thanks.

Koodo doesn't give you warning for your airtime usage.
You can check your time through self serve easily. Also if it was $135 overage means you went over 270 minutes than your limit. It's more than 4 hours extra.

Or did you change your plan middle  of your billing cycle which caused overage charge?

No changes were done other then on my daughter's data which was supposed to have a data block on it (which I have changed now after a discussion with her); however, my phone had the data block put on it instead which was a huge inconvenience for me since I have to travel to Toronto for work on a regular basis.

I was never told there would be no texts for airtime overage so I am not paying the $135.

Just to let you know, no Canadian carrier that i know of gives you notifications for airtime usage. Something to watch so that this doesn't happen to you again.
As well, if you bought the phones from Koodo and they aren't a Pixel/Nexus device they will have to be unlocked to be used on a carrier other than Telus or Koodo. If it is an iPhone you will want to get it unlocked before you leave Koodo as they will usually provide the cheapest unlocking for iPhones.

Thanks for the info Allan, I'll do that.  What is the cost?

Currently the fee is $50/phone. If you have an android device it is cheaper to get an unlock code from a third party service, ebay, etc, which will run you between $5-$20 usually.

No, they are both 6s...going to get on a pay as you go plan with another carrier.

@Robyn
When you check other providers, check their overage charge rate and coverage area too.

Edit: I just saw you said you will get prepaid plan.
So, just check the coverage area.

I heard from a similar post that Bell sends a text/email when your AirTime has reached its limit.
