Basically when I was in the airport in Canada my phone was fine. I Shut if off for the flight then when I landed in Europe powered it back on to a no service message that was last Friday and still right now I have no service this is extremely frustrating not to mention that it seems to be basically impossible to get in contact with Koodo when outside Canada now I have to post here and hope someone can help me.

I asked a friend from back in Canada to ring them and ask how could I contact Koodo and of course they provided a number which does not work I also emailed an address I found on the website and am not getting any response.

I need my phone for work so having no service for the last four days has already cost me money so please can someone tell me how I can get in contact with them this has never happened with any other Canadian service provider and this experence is really making re think my choice of network for when I return to Canada next month.

Sorry if I sound angry but I am very frustrated by this whole thing and would really appreciate if someone could help.

Sign into the Koodo self serve website. Add the free “International Voice Roaming" and / or the free “International Data Roaming” add on. Then turn airplane mode on and off. When your phone connects it should be working. Buying any of the Travel Add-ons only nets you a savings on your roaming fees, it does not change anything about the ability of the phone to roam. Without the Voice / Text / Data Add-on, you can still roam at pay-per-use prices. https://community.koodomobile.com/koodo/topics/cant-recieve-calls-while-international-roaming?topic-reply-list%5Bsettings%5D%5Bfilter_by%5D=all&topic-reply-list%5Bsettings%5D%5Breply_id%5D=18055432#reply_18055432

EDIT: You indicate you are on prepaid. Koodo does not provide service on prepaid outside Canada, and (if you purchased a roaming add-on) the USA.

Thanks for the reply

I only want service on the phone to receive calls I have heard of someone getting no service from cell phone company when they leave the country and if that is the case it's something customers should me well aware of which I wasn't.

I finally got through them spend which 15mins on the phone from Europe which is going to cost a bomb only for them to tell me the problem is not on there end even though I have tried the Sim in 3 different Canadian phones all which display no service.

So I will definitely be dropping Koodo when I get back don't need this hassle any of my other friends that have come for Christmas just powered there phones back on and were ready to go

Make sure the email address you are using for the App is exactly as you are entering for the website. Also make sure you are using the right site, as there is one for post-paid and one for prepaid.

Hello, I just got back from Colombia and wanted to let people know that the International add on is totally useless.  You get very little data, very few minutes and very few texts.  If you go over on your 50 mb of data they charge you $ 10 per megabite.  That's right, $10/MB!!!!  And the real kicker is, there's no way to track where you're at with the data, the minutes of phone time (also 50) or your texts.  So guess what, you try not to use it at all in case you get slammed with the exorbitant additional charges.  To add insult to injury, even though it's called "international", it can't be used in the US.

SO STAY AWAY FROM THE INTERNATIONAL ADD ON.
