Order cancellation confirmation email?

Hey everyone,

Just a bit of back story, my main questions are at the bottom (in bold)

I recently purchased a phone + plan from the koodo web-store. The next day I received a call from a koodo rep and she told me that I had to go to a koodo store / kiosk to do some kind of verification, so that they could complete the order.

So I went to the store and the person there had no clue what I was talking about, and he told me that everything on my account seemed fine, and that the phone should arrive within a few days.

A few days later I recieved another call from the same koodo rep , she once again mentioned that I had to go in store and get verified. I explained to her that I had already gone and the person in the store said everything was good , but she insisted that I had to go again so as to verify the order.

I was going to go to the store again some time today, but one of my friends showed me a cheaper deal with a different cell phone provider. 

So I decided I'd rather just cancel my order, as it would be much more convenient / cheaper for me to buy from this other provider.

So I emailed the webstore telling them to cancel my order several hours ago and I haven't really heard a response yet.

I guess I'm just wondering if they're going to email me back, to confirm that the order was cancelled? 

How long does it usually take to get the money back? Do they send cheques or is it just a credit refund?

My order number is: HFO13037348  for reference.

You really don't have an option but to wait for the webstore to cancel your order at this point. If it's already shipped to you then you may just have to either refuse the order when it arrives or ship it back via a courier.

You can try calling them instead:

I don't think it's been shipped yet , they're still waiting on me to go to the store to verify the order even though the money was taken from my credit card

Yeah , pretty much instantly the day that I bought it. The statement itself just showed up earlier today in the morning however.

Just got a reply from the webstore, they said the order has been cancelled and the money will be returned in 3-5 buisness days.
