One or more media attachments were removed

I have an LG G3 and normally have no issues receiving MMS messages but I have one sender (it's a translink service notification) that every single message I receive I get the notice " One or more media attachments were removed."
Every time.
It's not a data issue, as far as I know I haven't blocked anything (I receive media from other sources) no idea how to fix this.

Make sure your MMS settings and APN settings are correct.
A quick google will bring up what the settings should look like.

If you find that difficult or if that doesn't fix it, call *611 and follow the voice prompts to speak with Tech support. They will walk you through fixing the problem!

I have been going through the same problem. Koodo tech support did everything possible and they said it's not their network or my phone.

Is it possible that it's due to the fixes for the stagefright vulnerability? Do you have that number in your contacts? If not try adding it to your phones contacts to see if that allows the mms to come through successfully.

I have the number in my contacts, I've tried everything I could, reboot, spam filter, antivirus, etc. Not sure what the problem is.

Could it be the attachments are not supported by your device? Is there a method of viewing the notification on another device to see the file extension(s) of the attachments or the entire message? Have you been to the source of the message to see if perhaps they have removed something and replaced it with the warning?

The messages are just updates on service issues (ie bus late/cancelled/etc) I don't know why it is an mms but maybe due to hyperlinks?

I'm wondering if it's the device. I have an LG 3 like the other girl. The source of the messages have not changed anything. However, I used to receive these messages just fine on this device until about six weeks ago.

Seems about right for me too, but I've only had the device 6 weeks

Is there anything in Translink ACCT preferences that adds or removes attachments in the Notification/Alerts page? Not having a TransLink ACCT i am just blue-skying fixes here.
