I called a kiosk here in Windsor and was told that I have to be on a plan to get a Moto G phone. Not gonna happen. I like my prepaid and just want the phone. Is the guy that answered wrong, or am I out of luck?

And btw, koodo...It really sucks that you don't have the 16gb Moto G available at all.

Hi Dan,

You can certainly just buy the Moto G on prepaid. That was the good news, now the bad... it's slightly more expensive at $250 on prepaid. It's a great phone though (I have it too) and you can't really go wrong with it :)

Here is the link: https://shop.koodomobile.com/prepaid/... and it says available in stores only.

I agree with getting the 16gb model but at the very least if you get shipping to an American address you can order it unlocked from Motorola.

For prepaid you can buy it outright but it costs more money than a Tab plan since in most circumstances there's a higher churn rate in prepaid customers.

Your other option is to buy the phone with Tab on a random phone # and then cancel after 30 days since it comes with a $50 PC gift card at Mobile Shop...

OK, thanks for the info, folks. I'll just buy the 16gb version and get it shipped to my brother in North Carolina and get him to ship it to me. With exchange and shipping, it should work out to about $250...but with an extra 8 gigs. :)

Smart thinking :) Have fun with it, I would have preferred the 16GB too to be honest :)
