Why is no one picking up. I called yesterday and was on the line for 3.5 hours. This morning Koodo reps are not picking up the call either cuts or goes silent. There is also an automated message that says that Koodo is closed. I have been a loyal customer for 3 years and pay $55 for 2gb. This is not how you treat your loyal customers. I would like to speak to someone and switch my plan to the 10gb $60 plan.

The plan you want is available to new customers only or those adding a line to their account so chances could be that your wasting your time for nothing on this matter.

Be that as it may, the carriers in general appear to be willing to give it to current customers. Some carriers are allowing first line reps to do it, while others are not.

I have been trying to reach them yesterday and today to cancel my plan and unlock my phone, due to ridiculous and ongoing over-age charges.  No one is picking up.  How is one supposed to cancel if they don't even pick up?

I will merely have to unlock the phone with someone else, and refuse to pay the bill, then deal with them in Small Claims Court.

I personally wouldn't risk not paying your bill...

Krum! If your going to another carrier then just go there and sign up and post your Koodo number in to that new account with a different carrier and it will automatically close your Koodo account.

No, there are many people getting the plan because of loyalty/retention. Please check Redflagdeals for those stories. I really think they need to honour this deal without question.

Ridiculous, no one is picking up the phone.  And they don't let you cancel online.  How is one supposed to cancel their service if you're required to call in, but no one picks up the phone?  What kind of a stupid company can't even pick up the phone?

A Koodo rep scheduled a call back in 48 hours. I believe it is a good strategy to combat the influx that the loyalty department is facing. They confirmed that they would still honour the plan even if the call comes after the 19th. The process took 2.5 hours cumulatively plus the 3/5 hours from yesterday.

Thanks for the update,

I'll stay on at least until I talk to someone today, but good to know they're open to honouring it after tomorrow. I was hung up on after being transferred to loyalty and on hold for 2 hours and 38 mins yesterday.

crappy. I will just have to keep trying. I even tried a koodo store but they said they couldn't do anything without talking to customer service. At this rate I might be forced to change providers
