old plan, non-Koodo phone?

I recently cancelled my monthly plan, partly because my LG flip phone got damaged due to no fault of my own, and partly because I was not working at the time. My income's more stable again, and I'm looking to reactivate my plan. I know that the particular phone model I once had is no longer available from Koodo, but have seen a similar phone available at BestBuy, albeit intended for a Rogers prepaid plan. Is it possible to buy that phone, and use it for the monthly plan I once had?

what phone was it? As long as that phone is compatible with koodo yes, but you'll need to get it unlocked to do so. if you're starting a new account then koodo may be able to unlock it for you.

as far as your old plan, as long as that plan is still offered, you can grab it again but if not you may be out of luck.. For this your best bet is to call in and speak to a rep, ive heard stories of reps being able to work things i thought were impossible.

The phone in question that I was using was an LGA341. I've seen similar flip phones at Best Buy, but they're Rogers prepaid. I know that if I were opening a new account, this would be easily doable, but I don't know if it's possible to do it with an old account and then reactivate a plan that is no longer available and has been grandfathered.

Check walmart for this phone in Koodo prepaid. You can use it with monthly with the correct sim. If you can't find it check here to unlock the Rogers phone.

You need to call Koodo and see if your old account can be reinstated. I can't give you that answer because I don't know.

To be clear, the phone that I was using with the plan was an LG A341. The one I'm looking at with BestBuy is LGC441, and it's Rogers prepaid. I know my old account can be reinstated, but I don't know if a non-Koodo prepaid phone can be unlocked and used with an existing grandfathered monthly plan that needs reactivation. And I was told at the time I cancelled my account that I could reinstate it within three months, and it has been nowhere near that long, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Perfect. Sorry about the confusion.

Yes as long as it's unlocked and compatiable, Koodo doesn't care what phone you use.
