Old $29 plan versus New $30 plan?

I currently have the basic $29 plan with just 100 mins and unlimited text and calling after 5pm etc and on a small tab.  I was just looking at the new $30 plan which comes with 200 mins and 100mb data, while the rest are the same as my old $29 plan.

What I was wondering is the tab are pretty much the same so I should pay off my old tab and get on this new $30 plan since it's only $1 extra and getting 100 additional mins along with 100mb of data. Am I missing something here? Or is the new plan better than the old $29 plan I have.

The new plan is better.  The difference is that the new plan is with no tab only.

If your current plan was on the No Tab discount (discount discontinued) it would have been $26.10

Actually my monthly bill with taxes is about $32.xx but each month 15% of the tab is taken off.

So does it mean this new $30 plan monthly with tax is $33.xx, while if I take a phone for $0 upfront (samsung s3), then each month $7 will be subtracted from the phone value right? Or do I have to pay $30 and $7 plus tax each month?

I am unaware of where you are from so I am unsure of your tax rate there.

You will have to pay $30 plus tax plus $7 returned for the phone subsidy

Ahhh so then I have to pay $8 extra pretty much for 100 more mins and 100mb data. I thought the $7 would be deducted monthly as my tab.

Thats why I would compare No Tab versions of both plans to compare apples to apples ($26.10 vs $30)  or Plus $8 with a Tab of about $150-168
