Ok, so we all know Koodo is offering 500MB starting at $65. Keep in mind this isn't counting the $10 tab charge. If you factor in the ammount of money clients are going to be paying for minimal data isn't worth it. I mean really $75 before taxes for 500MB of data? $85 before taxes for 1GB?and a whopping $95 before taxes for 3GB?There's no competition at all with these horrid plans. I'm not going to get into exact data ammounts but offer more. I mean for $75 a month at least offer 1.5-2GB. and 5GB for $95 price plan. This would push more people to get large tab plans and create more competition. I don't see any value at all for any client by going on large tabs considering there's NEVER promos.

The Tab L plans are not worth while by any means and need to be overhauled to offer better VALUE for their cost.

$75 is waht Virgin charges too, so koodo is not any worse. To be honest, people will have to get used to the fact you cant have your cake and eat it too. You want to pay as littel as possible for a phone upfront but want the most from the plans companies offer.

Actually, it has to do with the fact that all providers are gouging their customers. $95 for 3 GB of data? Doesn't that seem too much for too little?

Chris has explained it well.

The subsidy of the phone, increases the cost of the plans by $25/mth.

The subsidy of the phone can easily be handled without gouging the customers. And it's been mentioned before.

Cost of the phone over 24 months.

$500 / 24 = $20.83/month.

Doing it this way means there wouldn't be a need to have such high costs for rate plans, so it would keep the costs of the rate plans at a reasonable rate.

Get rid of Tab large plans completely and overhaul the $95 plan

The only way to get rid of Tab Large plans is to eliminate the Tab system completely. The only reason the Tab Large plans exist is because of the CRTC regulations of max 2 years. Having the cost of the phone divide among 24 months is the best way to go.

Reducing the data on a Tab L plan to give it less value doesnt make it more CRTC compliant.

You can still technically have a Tab L on a regular Canada Wide Data Plan for $75 and the CRTC wouldn't have issues with that.
