I have a plan without data although the phone is capable of data and I could incur charges if it ever turned on.

Is there some way to find out if data has been accidentally turned on? Is there some notification I can get if this happens?

If you're not interested in ever using koodo network data, you can add a data block to your account. This will prevent use altogether, including mms

Hi Cliff,

Depending on the type of phone you have, you could install a data toggle widget on your home screen. The widget provides you with instant visual verification as to whether data is on or off. The widget also saves time from having to go through pages of settings to enable or disable data.

You can also have a data block put on the account which will prevent any accidental data usage. However, you won't be able to send picture messages with the data block in place.
